The last several months have been kind of crazy. My foot healed, I go the okay from the Doctor to start running again, and started to feel tired all the time. A very long story short, I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called Aortic Regurgitation due to a atrial bi-valve. Craaazy pants! After 30 years and 3 major surgeries, I find out I was born with this. The last couple of months were pretty tense. There were two ways this could go, slow or fast. Luckily after several tests and many $50 co-pays later, I found out I am on the slow route and now just have to have yearly Echos. The Cardio Doc gave me the okay to exercise, including running, but I can't bench press, and I'm okay with that. He also said I need to drop some L.B's. I'm working on that part too.

I also lost my wonderful Grandma in September.I got to spend some time with her before she past and she was still alert. I had a great conversation with her. I miss her every day, but little things I do- use an afghan, cook chili, having to go to the bathroom as soon as I enter a store - remind me of her. I cherish the time I spent with her, and I know she is in a better place now.
So this blog is called Adventures in Thirty. I have not had many Adventures since I turned thirty, so to the 2 people who read this blog, I need Adventure Suggestions! How do I step outside of my box and have a little more fun! I need them to be affordable and legal!
